Singing four-fart har mony, the group con sists of: Bobby Alessi (guitar/ bass) and Billy Alessi (keyboard / synthe sizers), rock's first pair of all-singing, all - playing twins; Peppy Castro(guitar/ bass); and Mike Ricciardella (drums). Devoted to making lovely, "good-timey" rock and roll, Barnaby Bye will de- fintely be worth hearing, — a good way to wind up the Homecoming Weekend. Mars Hill College's theatre season for 1975-76 will open Oct. 10, 11, and 12 with the presentation of two British one-act plays. The plays will also be produced the following weekend, Oct. 16-18. The first play,Sor ry » Wrong Number was written by Lucille Fletcher. A psycho thriller much in the vein of Hitchcock,the play was first per formed on British ra- db by Agnes Moorehead in a long soliloquy. Rewritten for the stage, the tast was expanded to 11 charac ters. Mrs. Stevenson, a bedridden invalid, is the central cha racter and will be played by Susan Poovey, a senior from Hickory. Other cha-^ racters include her husband,played by Ken Wilson, a senior from Icard; George, played by Jan Abbott,a Ju nior from Darien, Conn.; Duffy, played by Asheville junior Keith Sargent; the Hospital Attendant played by another Asheville native,Anne Silver; the Western Union Operator played by Virginia Beach ju nior Jill Stevenson; and several telephone operators played by Bennettsville, S.C. sophomore Patricia Huckabee;Kernersville sophomore Paula Davenport; Kingsport, Tenn. senior Serena Bell; Salem, Virginia freshman Linda Old; and Piedmont, S. C. sophomore Janis Rinehart, The second and lon ger play of thie eve ning is The Real In spector Hound by Tom Stoppard ad the au thor of the' success ful Broadway play, Rosencrantz and Gildenstern are Dead. Stoppard deals in an ambiguous world where real and unreal mix freely. The play was first produced at the Theatre Fours Playhouse in May,1972. The central role of Cynthia was played by Carrie Nye. ^he cast for the Mars Hill pro duction include:Jack sonville, Fla. junior Cheryl Abood as Cynthia,-Lakeland,Fla. sophomore Kandie Olson as Felicity; Marsha Holmes Walker, a former student from Greenville, S. C. as Ms. Moon; Tim Walker, a junior from Coliun- bia, S.C.as Birdfoot, Simon will be played by Jan Abbott, a Da rien, Conn, junior,* Asheville junior Keith Sargent as Magnus;Dwight Bradley a Fletcher freshman as Inspector Hound; Eugenie Braswell, a Morganton senior as "The Stiff"; Earl Leininger, associate professor of religion, as the radio voice of BBC, and Mrs. Drudge will be played by Angel Jackson, a freshman from Atlanta, Ga • Both productions were directed by Dr. Virgil Gray,, who also designed both sets. The assistant direc tor is Pam Smith, a senior from Durham. All performances will be held in Owen Thea tre with curtain calls set for 8 p.m. with the exception of a 2:30 p.m. matinee Sunday, Oct. 12. Ad mission for those not associated with the college is $2 for a- dults, $1 for stu dents .
